The Weigh-Tronix OPOS Control consists of the WTScaleAdmin.EXE (administration 
and test program) and the WTScaleSO.DLL Service Object. Installing the adminis-
tration program also automatically installs the Service Object.

Please refer to application note EAN-18 (p/n 8421-15950-18) entitled "WTScaleSO 
OPOS Scale Control & WTScaleAdmin Administration Program" for further details.

This readme file basically covers special installation instructions.

      Part 1  - Software Installation Instructions

      IMPORTANT: 
      Before installing this release of the OPOS Control, please read 
      the Release Notes below for this particular release of the Con-
      trol to see if there are any special installation issues.

      If there are no special installation issues, you may proceed with
      the installation as follows:

      1)Start Windows
      2)Locate the WTScaleAdmin self-installing icon. Double-click on 
        the icon to begin installation. 
        Follow the instructions given on the screen.

      OPOS CONTROL RELEASE 1: (14-MAR-02)
      ----------------------
      Installs WtScaleAdmin.EXE Administration Program v2.0
      Installs WTScaleSO.DLL Service Object v1.6

      IMPORTANT: 
      This is the first release of the OPOS Control. Some modifications 
      have been made to the way scale profile data is stored in the 
      registry. If you were using a previous 'beta' version then you 
      must do the following before installing this release.

      1)Launch the current (beta) version of the administration 
        program.
      2)On the 'Scale Profile' tab, 'Remove' all existing scale 
        profiles as listed in the 'Profile Names' selection list box.
        You may want to record the current entries so that you can re-
        enter them later.
      3)On Windows 'Control Panel', click on the 'Add/Remove Programs' 
        button, locate and click on the WTScaleAdmin entry to highlight 
        it, and then click the 'Remove' button to uninstall the curr-
        ent Administration program.

      KNOWN ISSUES:
      Even though this software is provided free-of-charge "as-is" and 
      with "no-liabilities" to our customers, Weigh-Tronix makes every 
      effort to maintain proper operation of the Administration program
      and Service Object. Still, errors could occur and new feature 
      requests are occasionally made. This section describes the curr-
      ent state of known issues.

      Functional:
      1)There may be an inherent bug with the ActiveX control used to 
        display the status bar along the bottom of the tab folder. 
        Sometimes when switching to the 'Specific' tab, the status bar 
        may not be visable. It still is visable, however, on the 
        'Common' and 'Advanced' tabs. Therefore, if you are working on 
        the 'Specific' tab, need to view status and it is not visible,
        simply click on one of the other tabs and view the current 
        status. This is a low-priority issue and will be addressed as
        time permits.

      Cosmetic:
      1)This software was developed for a display resolution of 1024 by
        768. Operating at lower resolutions (eg 800 by 600) may result 
        in a slight loss view on the right side of the tab folder.
      
      Requested Features:
